Happy 4th of July!
Our family has lots of fun plans today that remind me of how I used to spend the 4th during my own childhood…a bike parade with friends, an afternoon BBQ, sprinkler fun, and some sparklers and a fireworks display a la “the dads.” We can’t wait to spend the day with all our favorites!
As a health conscious mama, I also know that all these plans also need to come with a PLAN for how I’m staying on track with nutrition, or else these kind of fun jam packed morning til dusk days can end up off the rails food and drink, leading to me waking up feeling guilty about all I indulged in, rather than blissfully remembering the day.
My plan involves mapping out the day and when I’ll eat, drinking TONS of water (Hello forecast of 92 degrees in Charlotte today!), drinking my superfoods to curb cravings, and making sure there are healthy snackables wherever we are today!
This Greek yogurt ranch dip is my go-to to whip up for any picnic or BBQ! It’s easy, fast, and delicious…it tastes JUST like real ranch dip! Plus, it’s loaded with protein that will keep me full and less likely to reach for chips! I serve it with carrots, cucumbers, and peppers, rather than blue corn chips…I CANNOT be trusted around those, but if you can, more power to ya!
